Coq Au Vin is basically a fancy name for a French chicken stew where the chicken is braised with wine, lardons, onion, carrot and mushroom until the meat becomes tender and the sauce becomes rich, incredibly tasty!! And it is often served with mashed potato to soak up every drop of the rich gravy which makes it really good for a dinner party
