As the title implies, there are other great wine varietals in the region, in addition to Pinot Noir, including a relative new comer: Roussannne. Grown in the Columbia Valley in Eastern Washington, it’s less than 15 years ago that this varietal from the Rhone Valley in France, began to be cultivated here. In this video, vintner Andrew Rich describes the flavor and other desirable characteristics of the Roussanne, as we see it being bottled at his winery.
