Bordeaux is wine specifically sourced from its namesake area in South West France. This is, arguably the most important wine region in the world. Corks in bottles, using glass to package, exporting, all started in this region. Red wines from this region are blended varieties typically featuring Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and rarely Carménère. Whites are typically Sémillon and Sauvignon blanc. Here’s the list this week:
