What are we going to explore in this video on “Let’s Explore the Capital of Christmas in the covid era”? You are gonna see the beautiful #chirstmas #decorations at the #CaptialofChristmas #Strasbourg…… And it’s none other than Strasbourg in France.
All the streets near the centre of the #CaptialofChristmas #Strasbourg are decorated with lights like this one that you are seeing now. Due to #coronavirus there are not many #tourists…. And the #Christmas market stalls have been cancelled….but cheer up….we have #decorations and illuminations made specially for the occasion, including a great arch that you will see in a few minutes and also you will see the famous #Christmastree. All these create a “#Christmas Village” atmosphere.

#Strasbourg isn’t just one of the most beautiful cities in #France. It’s also home to a spectacular #Christmas #market. This tradition of #Christmas celebrations at #Strasbourg began in 1570 in front of the #Cathedral with just a few stalls and hence it is the #oldest Christmas market in France and one of the #oldest in Europe. But, nowadays there are more than 300 market stalls spread throughout the #CaptialofChristmas #Strasbourg. The heart of the market remains in Place #Broglie and Place de la #Cathédrale, the lovely medieval square in front of #Strasbourg’s graceful #Gothic #cathedral.

Here we are at the great arch which is setup to indicate that it’s the main entrance to the cute, little #Christmas #village in #Strasbourg.

Now you can take a closer look at the decorations in the arch which have #stars, teddy bears and a name saying #Strasbourg – #Capital de #Noel which means #Strasbourg, #capital of #Christmas…..

In this #newyear, Pls do share this video on “Let’s Explore the Capital of Christmas in the covid era” and subscribe to our channel #PreyAmit, an explorer ….

#Alsace’s #Christmas #markets are the major event in the region’s tourism landscape. #Alsace’s #Christmas markets refers to #Christmas markets setup in #Strasbourg, #Colmar, #Mulhouse.

The #Strasbourg #Christmas #Market alone represents the largest event in #France in terms of its duration and its economic impact, Every year, it attracts over two million visitors. But this year #2020 there are hardly a few hundreds of them due to #covid #coronavirus.

Here we are in front of one of the #ancient and #biggest #cathedrals in #France.

I have already published a video on the beautiful sound & light show at this #ancient #Cathedral, so don’t miss to watch it in this link –

This one towered #cathedral is called #Notre #dame #cathedral of #Strasbourg and is the main landmark of this city.

#Vin #Chaud is another speciality during the winter season…. It is nothing but a lightly spiced warm #mulled #wine that is incredibly delicious. This #mulled #wine isn’t just for #Christmas – while you’ll find #Vin #Chaud everywhere you turn at #French #Christmas markets, this #French mulled wine is a winter-long drink that is perfect on a cold night, after skiing, after sledding, or any other time you want a warm cup of something comforting.

We will now move towards #Gutenberg square….

You are now looking at the #Merci tree at #Gutenberg square….#Merci is a #french way of saying Thank you…

And here this street will lead to #Petite #France… #Petite #France literally means small #France…..and it is a a #picturesque area popular with tourists.

Now in this video on “Let’s Explore the Capital of Christmas in the covid era” it’s time to see the stunning #Christmas #tree

Due to #covid #coronavirus not everyone around the world gets a chance to witness this amazing #Christmas #tree, why don’t you share this video on “Let’s Explore the Capital of Christmas in the covid era” this joyful occasion with your family and friends.
