The first one on our list is the Belvedere Lookout.

Belvedere Lookout is a scenic viewpoint awarding views of Cook’s Bay, Opunohu Bay, Mount Rotui, and the fertile Opunohu Valley with its many pineapple plants, craggy peaks, and gentle slopes, the good news is, there are many ways to reach the top, like uphill hiking, ATV, scooter or car as there is a road leading to the lookout. That being said, now that it is more accessible it is also more crowded, meaning you should allow yourself adequate time for photo snapping.

The most popular time to visit is at sunset at around 5:30 pm, where you can see the sky and landscape illuminated by a rainbow backdrop of reds, pinks, yellows, oranges, and purples, and at the top, there is a small snack, beverage, and souvenir stand. And if you’re still feeling energetic, you can access waterfall and nature treks from the top.

Vaima Shopping Centre,

The Vaima Shopping Centre is the largest shopping mall in Tahiti, French Polynesia’s main island, and this multilevel mall opened in 1977 and is located in the capital city of Papeete.

Inside the Vaima Shopping Centre, visitors can shop at high-end stores for clothing, jewelry, shoes, electronics, art, and much more, some worldwide brands include Nike, Billabong, and Bose, but there are also many other local stores at the mall, this is truly a great place to buy souvenirs and island-themed clothing, as this mall is well known for its French bookstores that sell books in both English and French in many different genres and maps of the French Polynesian islands.

Vaima Shopping Centre’s popular item to shop for in Tahiti is the Tahitian black pearl, and there are several shops in the Vaima Shopping Centre that specialize in black pearls.

Arahoho Blowhole,

Perched along the rocky coast of Tahiti and bordered by a scenic black sand beach, Arahoho Blowhole is one of the island’s most visited natural wonders, and as the waves crash against the shore, a powerful geyser-like eruption sends spectacular plumes of water into the air, wowing visitors and creating the opportunity for some impressive photos.

Matira Beach also known as Plage Matira,

The only public beach on Bora Bora is the Matira Beach, although it’s not associated with any resort, it still boasts 2 kilometers of bright white sand, coconut groves, and lapping waves. The beach opens onto a shallow, sandy-bottomed lagoon with perfect snorkeling conditions, the swimmers can see colorful corals and the huge variety of tropical fish which give the area its nickname: “The Aquarium.”
