We’ve got a two for one video! The French 75 is a classic Champagne Cocktail that dates back to 1915. The French 77 is a modern take on the original that incorporates Elderflower Liqueur.
Here’s what you need to make a French 75:
– 1oz. (30ML) Gin
– 1/2oz. (15ML) Fresh Lemon Juice
– 1/2oz. (15ML) Simple Syrup
– 1-2oz. (30-60ML) Sparkling White Wine
– Lemon Twist to Garnish
Here’s what you need to make a French 77:
– 1oz. (30ML) Gin
– 1oz. (30ML) Fresh Lemon Juice
– 1oz. (30ML) Elderflower Liqueur
– 1-2oz. (30-60ML) Sparkling White Wine
– Lemon Twist to Garnish
Glassware:
– Champagne Flute
Bar Tools:
– Jigger
– Shaker Tin
– Hawthorne Strainer
– Fruit Peeler
In a shaker tin add your spirits and mixers (no Sparkling White Wine yet, add ice, then shake until frosty. Strain into a Champagne Flute leaving room to top off with Prosecco. Top off with Sparkling White Wine. Enjoy!
