Do you know the word GYRON? It comes from an old French word that means “gusset” — a triangular brace. That word comes from an old High German word “gēro” which means a wedge-shaped object. A gyron is a triangular shape that’s the result of subdividing a shield into 8 segments (or sometimes 6, 10, or 12).
In Episode 38 of #FastLogoFriday, I design a logo for a royal wine. Dubonnet and gin is Queen Elizabeth’s favourite cocktail, so I’ll use similar “royal” themes and draw inspiration from shields and coats of arms.
