After six months of planning, we’ve finally decided on the countries we wanted to visit on our first trip to Europe. Four countries, two weeks — come join me and Riley as we tick off one by one some of our dream destinations.

After spending almost a week in Switzerland, we are off to our next destination – Paris, France!

Here are some tips / reminders when traveling to Paris esp to those who are visiting the first time –
– You can book your train tickets from Lauterbrunnen station to Paris Gare De Lyon through the SNCF website –
– We stayed at Mercure Paris Gare De L’est Magenta during our stay in Paris. Best to send them an email to confirm your reservation before your trip.
– Make sure to always have your bags in sight and beware of pickpockets! My backpack almost got stolen by a local when we were at the Louvre. Had to shout at the top of my lungs to let the person know that I caught him red-handed — he handed over my bag then walked away as if nothing happened. Just be extra cautious when traveling.
– The best way to experience Paris is by walking around the city so you get to see and experience first hand what the city has to offer.
– You can never get tired of going back to the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre everyday — so make sure to see them both in daylight and nighttime!
– You can book your french wine experience in advance at Les Caves Du Louvre through this link –
– You have to plan your visit to Laduree as is gets really busy during lunch and dinner time. Expect to fall in line and wait before getting a table.
– Please do try the Escargots!! They’re my favorite!!
