Hello and welcome to Terre des 2 Sources!
What we call ourselves is intimately linked to our identity and it is no different for a winery. Terre des 2 Sources conveys the natural water springs that run through the property and the sense of natural beauty around us but it also symbolizes the two couples who have come together to produce the best wine from this land.
Both couples have travelled extensively allowing them to appreciate new customs, cultures, foods and of course, wines.
Helene and Remi Taillefer, who are French natives, and Glen and Kirsten Creasy from the New Zealand wine industry have both settled in the south of France. Together the couples are crafting wines that are quickly becoming known for their energy, elegance and passion. They are wines from an Old World Domain, but reinvented through New World experiences.
Working daily with the land is a reminder of the beauty and diversity of nature around us. Our viticulture philosophy is to always look and listen to the vines and to manage them according to their needs. As a further commitment to this land and nature, we are converting to organic production in both the vineyard and winery.
Our most approachable wines are from IGP and are called Amourettes. The wines are fruity but dry, pretty and very drinkable.
For a more structured and complex wine, our Empreintes range from AOP Languedoc are our interpretation of Mediterranean terroir of wild herbs and rugged countryside. The wines are created to age well over several years and to pair well with food.
Accords is our next range and are wines crafted especially to express that particular season. These wines are designed specifically for aging and for combining with memorable meals.
Finally, our Terrasses du Larzac red wine, Caprices, is rich and smooth with fruity chocolate flavours. Nestled at the base of the Cévennes mountains, this appellation produces wines with greater structure and complexity, freshness and cellaring potential.
