HOW TO MAKE THE QUICHE –
Mary Berry’s Quiche recipe: Serves 8 and takes 30 mins to prepare
THE SHORTCRUST PASTRY: Pre-heat the oven 220 degrees and then reduce to 180 degrees for cooking.
175g plain flour (extra for dusting)
85g chilled butter
Add a tbl spoon of water
Chill in the Fridge for 30 mins
I have used an 11 inch (28 cm) quiche tin
FILLING:
X2 Large eggs
250ml of single cream
125g of Gruyere (or cheddar) cheese grated
Mix together then add x1 finely chopped sliced onion
175g of un-smoked bacon cut and rinds taken off
A pinch of Freshly ground pepper
30 mins cooking time
