In this a quick video where we show how to make a Chicken Stew with Plums and Red Wine. This cooking idea will help you to make an excellent stewed chicken in French Cuisine style. Using this easy chicken recipe, you will cook a tasty homemade stew for dinner. Cooking time is about 2-2.5 hours. The key stone ingredients of this recipe – Chicken (Chicken thighs, but you can make this stew with chicken breast), Plums and Red Wine (here we use semi-sweet Shiraz Wine). For this Chicken Stew, we recommend to use thyme as flavor and parsley for garnishing, when serving.
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. of Chicken Thighs Fillet
1 lb. of Fresh Plums
2 Onions
1 Cup of Sunflower Oil
1 Cup of Red Wine (Semi-Sweet)
Salt and Pepper (on your taste)
3-4 Cloves of Garlic
A pinch of Thyme
A slice of Pita bread (flatbread)
Small bunch of Parsley (to garnish)
HOW TO COOK:
Cut the Plums in halves
Slice the onions & Garlic
Cut the chicken fillet in medium bite-size pieces
Season with Salt & Pepper (on your taste)
Pour the Oil in a heated Pot
Place chicken fillet in a Pot
Brown the chicken (2-3 min)
Cover with sliced onions
Cover with Plums
Pour the Red Wine
Add the Garlic & Thyme
Cover the pot and Stew over low heat for 1-1.5 hours
Cut the Pita Bread and place in a plate
Place the stewed chicken and garnish with Parsley
