Gregoire Perron is located in the village of Journas in the Bugey AOC in the Ain department in the French Alps, Bugey is mainly divided into the northern Bugey with similarity with Jura visible in the landscape; with an AOC Bugey Cerdon with mainly Gamay and little use of Poulsard dedicated to Methode Ancestral sparkling Rose. Southern Bugey which makes a significant amount of sparkling wine, with two appellation Bugey Brut usually Chardonnay-based; those with vineyards in Montagnieu also make Montagnieu Brut. Methode Ancestral, Vin de France Sparkling wines are made through the entire region.
