Hand picked grapes from our vineyard planted on the banks of the mighty Murray River. The fermentation was hand plunged and the wine matured in new & used French oak barriques for 18 months. Elegant and refined, a wine perfect for Mediterranean cuisine.
2019 MURRAY GUMS ESTATE | BACKROAD PERRICOOTA , CHARDONNAY
This straw coloured Chardonnay opens with rich melon and peach aromas that are delicately supported by roasted almond and vanilla notes from barrel fermentation. The palate is textured and full of rock melon, nutmeg and vanilla cream flavours that linger long on the finish from 6 months ageing in French Oak Barrique. A wine to be enjoyed now or be rewarded for your patience with cellaring for up to 5 years.
