“This is a blackcurrant, cigar box and graphite-scented gem from the generally excellent 2010 vintage. Rich, supple fruit, silky tannins and huge length. There’s a concentrated, inviting nose of crème de cassis, blueberries and cedar follows through to a mid-weight, fine-tannined palate of briar fruit, forest floor, incense and coffee. Plush, opulent and ultra-refined. This is a big Bordeaux that’s ready to drink, perhaps with rosemary and garlic roast lamb.”
