French onion soup is one of the most delicious soups to enjoy in the winter. In this recipe, we show you how you can make it easily on the Magimix Cook Expert.

Ingredients
5 large onions
50g butter
1 litre hot water
100g grated Gruyere
1 chicken stock cube
100ml white wine
1tsp corn flour
1tsp salt
pepper

Method
Add onions to metal bowl. Select EXPERT function for 20secs on speed V13.

When finished, push mixture down. Add butter , corn flour, water, stock cube, salt and pepper. Select EXPERT function, for 40mins on speed 2A at 100C.

While waiting, prepare cheese croutons. Bake in the oven at 180C until melted and toasted.

When the soup finishes, pour a serving into a bowl, top with croutons and sprinkle more Gruyere on top. Place under a grill for 5mins at 240C.
