Voila! Pork knuckle, Schnitzel, French Fries and Beer! In this video, European Sanchari invites you to a typical German restaurant Aachener Brauhaus.
Brauhaus is a combination of brewery with a restaurant attached to it , where the brewery’s own beer is served. Along with beer, they also serve traditional German dishes. Here, we tried out two authentic german dishes and it was DELICIOUS!!!.
The first dish, better known among germans as “Gegrillte Haxe” or “Schwein Haxe” (02:18) is nothing but a pork knuckle. It’s one of the famous Bavarian cuisine. The grilled pork knuckle is served usually with potato purée and sauerkraut (chopped pickled cabbage) or with salad.
The dish I tried was named “Schnitzel Wiener Art” (02:44). Schnitzel is a thin layer of breaded baked pork. It’s usually served with some sauce and french fries. In Germany, there are 8 varieties of Schnitzel out of which Schnitzel Wiener Art is the king of all. Schnitzel, though originated in Austria, is popular in Germany by the name Schnitzel Wiener Art.
