On July 19th, 2020, I (Patricia Wedding) interviewed Allen Dabagh, Chef and Proprietor of Boutros, located in Brooklyn, New York. In this video, I’ll take you on a jaunt through historical and picturesque Brooklyn Heights, as we make our way to meet Chef Dabagh at Boutros. Chef Dabagh who is of Middle-Eastern descent and having grown up in Brooklyn, shares with me the influences behind his cooking style. He also goes on to share insights into his struggle (as a small restaurant owner) to balance the costs of doing business while maintaining compliance with new and fluid regulations on out-door-dining in NYC in the era of COVID-19.
Most exciting of all, Chef Dabagh shows us how he makes authentic home-made pita bread and “Bulgur Fried Rice.” Join me in celebrating and supporting Boutros!
