Let’s toast to the final installment of this Tudor series with Hippocras! Hippocras was a popular drink of King Henry VIII and was drunk at the Field of Cloth and Gold; a celebration of his treaty with King Francis I of France. As a predecessor of today’s mulled wine, it is a sweet and delicious way to finish out any meal. Enjoy!
