My special guest on the 11th episode of Wine With Wanda on IG Live was Patrick Rigoulet, wine director at Ferraton Père & Fils in France’s Rhône Valley. Founded in 1946, the winery is now owned by world-renowned winemaker Michel Chapoutier, who led their transition to biodynamic viticulture. Patrick obtained his master’s degree in wine business management from the Burgundy Business School and joined the team at Ferraton Père & Fils in 2015. During our conversation, Patrick and I tasted Ferraton St-Joseph Bonneveau 2016 ($55) and Ferraton Crozes-Hermitage Calendes 2016 ($35)— both wines are 100% Syrah. Patrick also shared his wine pet peeve: people who get dogmatic about natural wines.
