Margaux & the BANDiten from Cologne/Germany
are border crossers between world music, chanson and jazz, theater and literature. The band is in international cast on German and Polish stages at home. Margaux Kier is founder of the ensemble, her longtime companions have their roots in Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands and France. The rich possibilities of jazz performance enables global translation of the poetic lyrics – now in 8 languages on their last cd.
A tour de force through old and new Europe, this is “Euphoria” – the new album by Margaux and the BANDiten. This band brings a variety of musical treasures from their musical forays: dream-lost world music, resilient fusion jazz, French chansons, as well as Polish garage punk, German songwriter pop and much more.
