Did I mention that my French Toast Recipe includes 20g of protein per slice! A full serving of 6 sticks has a total of 40g of protein!!
This is really the best high protein French toast recipe I’ve created through my experience of trying out recipes!
This is Protein Hacks and I’m all about finding ways to increase the protein in every meal! I’m using whey protein in my French toast recipe but feel free to use any powder that fits your diet!
French Toast Recipe (Protein 40g)
Ingredient List:
2 Pieces of Texas Toast
1 Egg
1/8 cup egg whites
1/8 cup milk (I’m using almond Milk)
1 Scoop Protein Powder
2 tsp cinnamon sugar
Preparation Instructions:
On Protein Hacks were all about saving time and utilizing our tools! For this simple protein powder recipe I want you guys to put all the ingredients listed above(except the bread and cinnamon) into your protein shake blenders and get all the ingredients mixed perfectly!
It’s important to use a blender or mixer when adding protein powder so there is no chunks of protein powder in our mix.
Cutting the bread into thirds is optional, you can leave the whole slice of preferred!
Pour the mixed ingredients into a flat bowl or plate so you can let the bread soak in most of the mixture.
Preheat your pan to about medium high or prepare your air fryer so we can get these French toast sticks cooking!
For the Air Fryer Recipe, fry your protein French toast sticks for 4 minutes at 375 degrees, check and flip the sticks and cook an additional 4 minutes!
That’s it guys! This is a super easy protein powder recipe, that can be easily frozen and saved as meal prep for a quick and easy protein packed breakfast!!
