Guidalberto Cabernet Merlot 60/40 17 vintage. Oozes all of the pretty aromas and delicious, robust characteristics to be enjoyed. Black berries, currants, cinnamon, black cherries, tobacco, chocolate and cedar. Good length and structure with texture too. Fine tannins and a silky, yet long length. Aged for 15 months in mostly French oak. This is drinking deliciously now but will develop over time. The vineyards are located in Bolgheri, Italy. The estate is home to the world-class wine that started the Super Tuscan movement – Sassicaia and this wine is quite often referred to as the baby brother.
