The most welcome aspect of this week’s changes in #SouthAfrica is the lifting of the #alcohol ban. The 9-week ban was brought in to ease up pressure on emergency services amidst the #coronavirus crisis, who reported a steep drop in alcohol-related accidents and fighting. People woke up at dawn to queue to restock.
