Lussac is a satellite region of Saint Emilion, a Gold Medal winner, 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cab Franc. A deep dark ruby very intense color and an aromatic floral nose with red fruits, wood, tobacco, spice, a bit of vanilla, very good structure. Powerful Raspberry and black currant flavors. There’s a lot of limestone in this area and you get some mineral notes as a result which takes this wine to the next level. Also this is aged 16 months in French oak giving it more pedigree and a terrific value.
