Our white wine feature this month is the interesting 2017 Kurtatsch Pinot Grigio: the “Penoner” from Alto Adige, Italy. This hard-to-find wine retails online for about $32 per bottle. We are offering at the special promotional price of $27.99!

Alto Adige may be one of the least known wine regions in Italy. Located in the mountains of north central Italy (northeast of Milan), this region is known for producing some interesting and very unique wines. This Pinot Grigio is grown on the steep slopes above the town of Penoner at an elevation of about 1900 ft. Unlike most Pinot Grigios, 20% of this wine is aged in small barriques which gives it wonderful texture and mouthfeel with a little white pepper spice. Peach, pear and apple aromas and flavors with great acidity allow this wine to be enjoyed with a wide array of food.

Our red wine feature this month is the 2017 Altocedro La Consulta Red Blend from the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. This is a last time purchase of this incredible vintage. Typically retailing for $29.99, we will have it on sale for just $25.99 per bottle!

La Consulta is a small wine region known as one of the premier for Malbec in the Uco Valley. This six grape, Malbec-driven wine has a healthy splash of Cabernet Franc, some Tempranillo and a little Syrah. It has been aged for 12 months in French Oak. Full and delicious, enjoy this red blend with just about anything on the grill with a little char and carmelization. We recommend serving this wine slightly chilled to bring out the unique flavor profile and characteristics. Get yours before it is gone!
