Hey there! Do you want to have fun and learn some wine? Come on, in! This is the WINE ROOM by García Carrión. And today we’re tasting…

PATA NEGRA TORO ROBLE

The wine is 100% Tempranillo – or Tinta de Toro, as it’s locally known in the region – and it is aged for only 3 months in French oak barrels.
Black fruit profile, with just the perfect touch of oak.

Toro is probably the unknown treasure of the wine regions in Spain. Did you know we still have pre-phylloxeric vines in this region? This is because the soils are so sandy, so poor, that the insect could not survive there!
Thanks to that, nowadays we can make the most structured, powerful and black fruit profile wines in Spain.

Blueberry, blackberry and plum are good examples of the fruits we will find in our Pata Negra Toro, together with the black pepper coming from the French oak.

SALUD!
