VEGAN CINNAMON SUGAR FRENCH TOAST STICKS

Add 1 cup unsweetend non dairy milk in a shallow bowl
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 TBS egg replacer ( I used bobs red mill, you can use ground flaxseed or ground chia)
pinch of sea salt, set aside.
In a seperate bowl add 1/2 cup sugar & 1 TBS cinnamon

Slice 3-6 days old bread. I used french, you can use texas toast or ciabatta.
Cut into stick shapes then dip in batter on each side. (Don’t let sit or it will become too soggy. If it does sont worry because baking it will firm it up.)

Next add 2 TBS dairy free butter to skillet ( I used earth balance butter spread) and 1 TBS canola oil.Pan fry on each side until golden brown. Then coat in the cinnamon sugar. Once done with all french toast place on baking rack over a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 10-15 mins on each side at 300 degrees.

Healthier French toast alternative

1 cup unsweetened non dairy milk
1-2 TBS pure maple syrup of agave( you can also add 1/2 mashed banana with ot without the liquid sweetener)
2 TBS ground flaxseed or egg replacer
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
pinc of sea salt

Dip bread in mixture and pan fry with a little coconut oil, or oil of your choice. Enjoy:)
