This garden is one of 12 theme gardens. French roses are planted along with other plantings, and we especially pick the scented roses. If you come during flowering, please enjoy the scent.

アカオハーブ＆ローズガーデンは、600品種4,000本のバラと200品種30,000本の花や草木が植栽されています。広大な敷地に12種類の違った顔を持つテーマガーデンがあり、海の絶景とともにお楽しみいただけます。園内入園時には最上部まで送迎バスご案内し、下りを歩いて散策していただきます。バラに覆われた丘の上には、日本でも新国立競技場を設計した世界的に有名な建築家、隈健吾が設計したカフェ「COEDA HOUSE」があります。世界最大級の盆栽が日本庭園に植えられ、海外からのゲストのためのフォトスポットとなっています。
Akao Herb & Rose Garden boasts 4,000 roses of 600 varieties and 30,000 flowers and trees of 200 varieties. In our garden, there are 12 theme gardens. On top of the rose-covered hill is a café “COEDA HOUSE” designed by world-famous architect Kengo Kuma, who also designed the New National Stadium in Japan. Huge pines have been planted in Japanese garden area, creating a photo spot for guests from overseas.
Akao Resort is a large holiday resort which processes 2 hotels with onsen (Hotel New Akao and Royal Wing), Akao herb and rose garden and private beach. The Hotels stand on the sea and on a cliff. that is unique in Japan. We are proud of the scenic ocean view from the guest rooms, as one of the most spectacular scenery in Japan. In addition to the scenery, please listen to the sound of waves to fully relax. The Atami Onsen area, where Akao Resort is located, is very accessible; about 50 minutes from Tokyo by Shinkansen.
