Langton’s Head of International Buying Jesper Kjaersgaard tastes the Antonin Bourgogne Pinot Noir from Domaine Jérôme Galeyrand.
Made from .08 hectares of biodynamically grown vines located in Chambolle Musigny, Brochon and Gilly-lès-Cîteaux (near Vougeot). Jérôme Galeyrand produces less than 500 cases a year of his superb Antonin Bourgogne Pinot Noir. The grapes are 100% de-stemmed then macerated for 3-5 days before a wild yeast fermentation over 18-20 days which is followed by 16 months maturation in oak barrels (20% new). Energetic and with a mix of red and black fruits, this silky, fruit-driven and delicious entry-level red burgundy can be enjoyed now and over the next 3-5 years.
