Batata Bhaji Pao or Batata Bhajia Pao or Potato Fritters or Aloo Pakoda so many names of this delicious Indian Street Food snack indigenous to Maharashta and Gujrat and is one of the most popular street food of Mumbai. Potato is actually called BATATA in Portuguese which was adapted from there since it was the Portuguese that introduces POTATOES to India and was cultivated along the western coast that is these two states.
In this episode, I have created the two most popular street food snacks in India from POTATOES.
1. For Peri Peri French Fries :
Potatoes: 4
Peri-peri or Piri Piri Spice: 1 tsp
Salt: 1 tsp
Sugar: 2tsp
2. For Mint Chilli Chutney
Mint leaves: 20
Green Chilli :6
Garlic Cloves: 8
Green Corriander: 25gms
Salt: 1/2 tsp
3. For Garlic Red Chilli Spicy Chutney
Garlic: One pod
Red Chilli: 6 whole
RedChilli Powder : 2 tsp
Tomato: 1
Salt: 1/2 tsp
4. Batata Bhaji Pao
Potatoes: 3
Gram Flour : 150 gms
Rice Flour : 50 gms
Cornflour: 20 gms
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder: 1/2 tsp
Salt: 1/2 tsp
