Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
2 eggs = 5 slices of bread (2cms thick)

Tips and tricks:
1. Let the bread soak for 2 seconds for a custardy french toast (0:39). Soaking the slice of bread for 2 seconds enhances the overall flavor. However, If you do not like your french toast dense and custardy, do not soak – take it off immediately.
2. If you do not like the taste of egg, add some extra milk to tone down the eggy flavor. For this recipe add between 60-70ml instead of 50ml of milk. The recipe is predominately an egg recipe but this trick will help you mild the taste of egg.
3. If your french toast is not cooked enough/properly on one side like my 3rd french toast in the video (1:53), it’s okay. Just remember to cook it for longer than a minute when you flip and cook again i.e., instead of 1-minute cook it for at least 2-2.5 minutes.
4. Make sure your pan is moderately hot otherwise you will end up burning your french toast or undercooking it. The final result will be affected. Heat is key!

Ingredients:
2 eggs
Milk (50 ml)
Sugar (3 tablespoons)
Bread (Sandwich bread, Milk bread, White bread give you the best results for this recipe)
Maple Syrup/Honey (Optional)

Detailed step-by-step process:
1. Take a flat and deep bowl/vessel (It will help you coat the bread easily)
2. Break 2 eggs (watch out for any eggshell). Now add 50 ml of milk and 2.5 tablespoons of sugar. Whisk the mixture well. Until the sugar is completely dissolved.
3. Take a slice of bread and dip it in the egg mixture. Flip immediately and coat the other side of the bread too.
4. Let the slice of bread soak in the egg mixture for 2 seconds for a custardy and dense french toast. You can skip this step if necessary.

*Make sure your pan is moderately hot*’
5. Add oil, transfer the slice of bread from the egg mixture to the hot pan.
6. Let it cook for around 2-2.5 minutes. Flip and cook the other side for the same time i.e., 2-2.5 minutes. The texture of your french toast should look as seen in the video (1:35) if not, flip and cook again.
7. Repeat the same with the rest of the slices of bread.
8. Pour some maple syrup or honey and sprinkle some fine sugar for an extra crunch. You could also add 1tablespoon of butter if you’d prefer.
Serve hot! Bon Appétit!

I hope you guys liked the video. This was one of the very first recipes I tired when I began cooking. French Toast is always very close to my heart. Do let me know if you try out this recipe.
