Today I take a visit to the first menu I learnt to cook; Coq Au Vin.

Back in the day when I started cooking, this menu is the first serious food I made. The inspiration was from that my foster parents love cooking casserole dishes type of food.

The art of flavour layering, slow cooking and assembling, this is the menu I would recommend everyone to cook for once. It is delicious, classic and utilise major cooking skills into use.

This recipe I adapted from Julia Child’s book “Mastering The Art of French Cooking”. The legendary cookbook everyone should have on their bookshelf.
