This wine was matured in 50% new French and Hungarian hogshead casks and 50% old French oak casks for 12 months. This oak barrel maturation brings roundness to the palate with a cedar and spicy vanillin character. The wine displays rich dark cherry, black current and blackberry flavours and a lifted floral and dark fruit aroma thanks to the co-fermentation with a small amount of Viognier. Enjoy now and over the next 15 years.
