Marquis de Bacalon Bordeaux wine from the left bank. With a typical blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet, you are going to get a classic and fruit-forward Bordeaux wine, which is well suited to more inexperienced wine consumers as well as the tried-and-true collector and wine snob.
Lots of plum and dark fruit notes, as well as a mossy and leathery note on the finish. Quite dry and tannic, which is to be expected from most fine Bordeaux wines. The color is a rich and deep garnet, which is a sign of a very concentrated wine.
I would rate this bottle a 90.5 out of 100 for it’s lovely, balanced texture and classic charm!
