Organic artichokes grown in our Los Angeles parkway. Artichokes are the ultimate slow food. They take a lot of work, but are beautiful and delicious, They don’t need much water and grow back each year and are attractive, large flowers. We planted some from seeds in our south central Los Angeles parkway a few years ago and get these beautiful treats every spring. Fried with salt, these organic artichokes are better than french fries. But stuffed with rosemary and garlic and roasted they are delicious too, especially dipped in a smoked chili and chive aioli.
