I am so excited to bring you this tutorial about how I painted my vinyl cushions and chair backs for my formal dining room table. A few months ago I painted my dining room table with Behr Alkyd Paint and I decided to paint my cushions with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and see how it would work on this slick surface.

I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up using a Clear gloss from Rustoleum over the chalk paint and it did very well. The Annie Sloan clear wax didn’t work out for me on this project.
So far, after a few months, the cushions that I used the wax on and then painted the gloss on afterwards, did worse that the ones that I didn’t use the wax on and just used the gloss.
Overall, it was an amazing product that performed very well! I would definitely use it again.
