Here we are, presenting the 4th episode of our Cocktail Culture journey around Slovenia. After leaving the castle of Ptuj we made a turn into the vineyards of Zlati Gric, one of the most modern wine cellars in the area.
In this beautiful location the tradition of making wine goes back in XVth century when made by monks and stored in the charterhouse Zice, where some delicious sparkling wines from Zlati Gric winery are still resting nowdays.

As we were surrounded by vineyards, the choice of cocktail was obvious: wine, wine, wine and a bit of Chartreuse.

Blending some tasteful Belsazar vermouths and ading them to sweet Sivi Pinot (Gris) wine.
Throwing all around the vineyard and perfuming with some lovely French Chartreuse on top.
Garnish the mixture with orange peel coin to round it up.
Should rose be served or not, should be served with love.

My love of vermouth came as an inspiration for this creation.
The melting pot of German, French and Italian culture i saw living in Stuttgart (Germany), a city surrounded by vineyards, lead me to mix these influences together and add a touch of slovenian charm.
