A real passion talk with Sommelier Benoit Bouquin from the superb restaurant Boudoir in Paris, www.boudoirparis.fr. The food and the wines are awesome there. Not this fanncy bullshit, but a real place run by people who care about their métier. This is affordable luxus. Benoit points out, that there is a new movement with younger vintner’s which produce very pure and authentic wines not many people know. A lot of people think these days that french wines are snobish and expensive. That is a real pitty, because France has a basket full of wines which are affordable and unique. We tasted an excellent Marcillac from Domaine Causse Marine from the Southwest of France. This beautyful red shows a lovely perfume and a fresh taste. These are the wines I advice to drink and they are perfect with food, not to forget great value.
