You should pair beef kabobs with Syrah wine!

When you are grilling delicious beef kabobs, you should try pairing a Syrah wine with them! We love this pairing, because we think the fruit and black pepper spice flavors in Syrah (or Shiraz if you’re buying an Australian version) go perfectly with kabobs. Think about it, kabobs have rich, beefy flavor, pepper and salt flavor from your seasoning, plus smoky grill flavor. Syrah wines have a great combination of fruit, smoke and spice flavors that perfectly match the flavors in your kabobs.

If you like a wine with darker black fruit flavors with more smoky notes and lower alcohol, try a French Syrah from the Rhone Valley. We love E. Guigal’s wines, but there are plenty of phenomenal French Syrahs. On the other hand, if you like a wine with brighter red fruit and more spicy black pepper notes (and higher alcohol!), try an Australian Shiraz like Yalumba’s delicious Shiraz. Both choices are great, and will pair perfectly with your kabobs.
