The term “Lieu-Dit” refers to a vineyard that is given a specific name in French. Winemaker Alex Gambal of Domaine Alex Gambal in Burgundy explains that wines labelled “Lieu-Dit” must use only grapes from that specific site and can not be blended with neighboring parcels.
