3829 Monticello Drive, sitting on an expansive double lot, was the first home built on Monticello Drive in 1935. Essentially a 5000 sf main house + 1400 sf guest house, which also includes 941 sf of covered outdoor living space. This tasteful Tudor home is characterized by a steeply pitched gable roof, elaborate masonry chimneys, embellished doorways, groupings of windows and artfully placed window boxes. The current homeowners remodeled the entire home to period and kept the original front door, making one small change by adding a leaded glass window to the upper panel of the door. The window theme was repeated in a series of leaded glass windows along the east façade of the home; giving filtered, natural light to the formal living area. Roger Dobbins was the remodel architect and David Cook the contractor.
