A French Garden: Is a hand painted soft cover junk journal. The covers were dry painted to give that very vintage and worn patina that we all love so much. The first coat of color was a wine and dark brown mix then distressed with a warm beige color.
The front cover has three collaged layers; The first layer is a very old hymn page, second is a rare book page and third is the main focal point: the pink rose and pink butterfly. Both have been highlighted with frosted pink paint. Two bronze medallions add more balance to this theme. I used Tim Holtz’s saying bar “Limited Edition” just to give more weight.
The coordinating back cover got basely the same coordinating treatments and embellishments.
Note: The Background music was Windam Hill’s “Prayer”
