A very particular wine produced by Corte Aleardi family where grapes are ripen on the Montepala’ hill. The wine has a bright ruby red colour with a delicate and intense bouquet of plums, cherries and raspberries. It is full bodied, harmonic, remarkably persistent and reasonably tannic.
The blend is made of 65% Corvina, 15% Corvinon, 15% Rondinella, 5% Cabernet Franc. Vinification follows a soft pressing of the grapes after being dried at natural condition for 20 days. After fermentation the wine ages for about 30 months in small French oak barrels following 1 year of refining in bottles. Definitely a nice baby Ripasso.
