To “flatten the curve” we, people are spending much more time at home.
We are all baking now. Some of us bake for need, for therapy, for fun or just killing time.
It doesn’t matter what’s your reason, I would like to share an easy bread recipe for any occasion.
Good Luck
Ingredients:
380-400 ml Warm Water (27 ° C)
1 Tbsp Active Dry Yeast
1 Tbsp Sugar
700 g Bread Flour (All-purpose Flour)
1 Tbsp Salt
30 ml of Vegetable Oil
Directions:
1) In the stand mixer’s bowl dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water (27 ° C). Set aside for 5 min.
2) Add salt to the flour and blend it in water, add oil.
Mix for 2 min on the law speed and then mix for 8 min on the medium speed.
3) Turn onto a floured surface. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30-35 minutes.
4) Punch dough down. Divide into two pieces. Shape 1 part into a round ball and the other one divide into 50 g balls.
5) Cover with plastic and let rest for 15 minutes.
6) Now, use the video instruction to shape out the loaf.
7) Proof the shaped loaves about 2 hours at room temperature until nearly doubled, covered with plastic and cloth to keep surface from drying out.
8) Preheat oven to 430 F. Put one empty pan on the bottom of the oven to pour water during the baking, to create steam.
9) With a very sharp knife make 3 diagonal cuts about 1/4 inch deep across top of the loaf.
10) Put bread in the oven.
11) Pour water on the bottom pan and quickly close the door to keep steam inside.
12) Bake for 15 min with steam. After 15 minutes, release steam and reduce temperature to 380 F. Bake 20 more minutes or until golden brown color.
13) Remove from pan immediately after baking and cool on a rack to prevent the bottom crust from becoming moist and soggy.
