15 minutes from Cannes, there’s an island run by wine-making monks. 🍷
Île Saint-Honorat has been a monastery for 1,600 years. Supposedly, Saint Patrick trained here before he went to Ireland. The monks have grown vines since the Middle Ages, but in 1992 they got serious. Now 21 monks make 30,000 bottles a year, each named after a saint who lived on the island. They also make a liqueur from 44 different plants.
