Healthy French Apple Cake. Reduce your calories, unnecessary sugars and fats.
This Healthy Gluten free cake is also dairy free, and low sugar recipe.
A traditional French Apple Cake contains 20-40g of added sugar per SLICE! My recipe only has only 8g per slice and makes a total of 8 generous slices!
With this recipe you WILL achieve the incredible buttery taste and crispy textures of the French apple cake but without compromising your health!
Ingredients:
-4 medium granny smith apples
-1 Tbsp lemon juice
-3/4 C + 2 Tbsp all purpose gluten free four
-1/4 C coconut flour
-1/2 C sugar
-2 tsp baking powder (not baking soda)
-1/2 tsp salt
-1 large egg + 2 egg yolks
-1/2 C coconut oil
-1 C plant based milk
Notes:
*bake at 325F degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Be sure to do the toothpick test to ensure the cake is baked all the way through!
*Let cool completely before serving (1-2 hours)
