In France we call it “Lapin au vin blanc”. Hi, I am Mathieu, a self-taught amateur French cook sharing my personal French white wine rabbit recipe, from my modest kitchen in France 🙂
This is a simple and tasty rabbit recipe made from the heart.
Nothing fancy, just yummy!
Like Gusteau said in Ratatouille: Anyone can cook.
But I say: You “cuisine” and Voilà!
Ingredients (for 2 people)
– Rabbit, any part works (legs, back, ribs,…)
– 1 clove of garlic
– 2 onions
– Butter
– 1 bottle of “dry” white wine, preferably French from Loire Valley (Muscadet).
– 1 soup spoon of “Maille” Dijon mustard preferably, the best French mustard. Don’t use hot dog mustard… but use a strong mustard
– Thyme
– 1 “Kub Or”, or 1 vegetable stock cube
– Pre-boiled or steam cooked celery hearts, or mushrooms
