A Malbec-led blend built by seven French families at the foot of the Andes — Clos de los Siete, from the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina.
The late Michel Rolland — the most famous consulting winemaker of his era — found this land in the late nineties and convinced a group of mostly Bordeaux families, seven partners originally, to build there together. The name means “enclosure of the seven.” Four wineries remain, each contributing to the single blend Rolland created: more than half Malbec, grown at eleven hundred meters. If there’s skirt steak and chimichurri anywhere near you, this is not optional.
