I know the macrame is too small for the couch, violating the 2/3 rule. Thing is, we LOVE this piece and want it showcased. How do I balance it with other pieces? I have a few frames already sitting on the couch (as you can see from the picture ) that I'm considering. Thank you!!

Keep the macrame centered as the star piece, then build a small gallery around it instead of below it. Add two or three of those frames on either side at slightly different heights, sort of framing it rather than competing with the couch width alone. That way the macrame stays the focal point and the whole grouping fills the wall properly. Skip stacking frames on the couch (that’s just staging). Hang them instead, keeping neutral or dark frames close to the macrame’s palette so nothing clashes with those bright colors.
