That countertop is neutral and not gray. If I were buying new, I’d probably match it with a different backsplash and forego the little numbing on the top, but compared to most homes, it’s honestly great. You could do a green or blue to complement it. I had a similar thing going at my old house. I used green on the cabinets.

An off white with green undertone might do the trick.
